Background
An major oil drilling company was recently contracted to drill for a small private oil company
in Oklahoma City, OK. As soon as he started drilling, he was approached by the
client who now wanted to remotely view everything that the driller was doing
aboard the oil rig. This caught the driller unaware since he had no previous
knowledge that his customer was going to require remote video surveillance.
They had to expeditiously and economically find a solution.
They required equipment that was to be used to send two video feeds from
an oil drilling rig cabin to the clients office trailer approximately 300 feet apart. Each video feed was to supply the client with
numerous views of equipment throughout the drilling rig. The original video was
fed into the drilling cabin from eight cameras located throughout the rig which
displayed via two monitors in the drilling cabin for the driller to view
equipment he normally could not see from his view. Required equipment that could withstand the very rugged environment & potential RF interference from numerous other radios. |

Background
The Department of Homeland Security recently wanted to have its Border Patrol Agents have the capability of remotely monitoring several sites along the border without necessarily being physically present at these locations. The agents were going to have the remote video surveillance done from their command post.
However, several challenges existed from the get go. The target locations which they wanted to monitor were about two miles from the command post. In addition to this, all the monitoring had to be real time for agents at the command post and near-real-time for remote users who could be anywhere across the country. |

Background
Up North Productions Inc. was interested to obtain an economical, reliable and high performance temporary WiFi hotspot and LAN network for their upcoming production. The WiFi hotspot was to cover various zones in the sprawling 5 acre fairground and campsite and to enable Internet connectivity of various ATM, Ticket Scanners, vendor booths & box offices at several venue entrances as well office equipment. The three day music and arts festival approximately was expected to attract five thousand attendees.
The two main challenges that RfWeL faced were how to economically & reliably backhaul the wireless network with enough speed for a good Internet experience and seamless gate & box office operations and how to cover such a large area with a reliable temporary setup with zero downtime and little management from the single on-site technician stationed at the event ...

Background
A large privately held non-bank owned Mortgage Company approached us early one Friday afternoon to provide remote wireless Internet solutions to several new branches under construction in rural markets across the U.S. Many of these locations were well past their grand opening and for many the deadlines were rapidly approaching. T1 roll outs were in weeks to months! By monday afternoon RfWeL had enabled basic Internet in 5 locations and with a few tweaks had VPN and advanced networking features available end of day monday. By the end of week all locations within several miles of a cellular tower offering 3G data service were lit up. By the careful selection of cellular carrier, antenna, antenna orientation, amplifiers and enterprise-class multi-wan routers we were able to create a highly redundant, highly scaleable and high speed network that clearly wowed and eased the worry of edgy management. |
