Note that this is a femtocell device not a modem. A femtocell is just a mini base-station transceiver (contrast with the large macro cells base station towers).

To backhaul cellular traffic you need to connect this to a regular broadband router with support for VPN passthrough and a low latency Internet connection of 160kbps+

Includes an external GPS indoor antenna port (GPS used for CDMA synchronization & E911). We do carry outdoor GPS antennas but these would void the warranty.

Femtocells require careful control of the antenna radiation field and power (EIRP) so as not to disrupt the macrocellular network which is probably why this device does not include an external antenna adapter to hook up a 1.9GHz PCS band Cellular antenna.
