The Kyocera KD135SX is one of the few higher power solar panels still available with a junction box, rather than the MC4 cables. The KD series junction box versions all have a 4" x 4" junction box with screw terminals on the back of the panel for wiring. This is a standard 12 volt panel suitable for almost any environment or application. This panel replaces the older KC-125 and KC-130 panels but has a slightly different and heavier frame size.
Thess controllers have a long list of standard features, they are available in 15 or 30 amps and 12/24 or 48 VDC. Three types of batteries can be charged, sealed, gel or flooded. Other features include temperature compensated charging, 100% solid state, LED's indicate battery status. The control board is conformal coated. All fasteners are stainless steel. All Prostar have Low voltage Disconnect (LVD), electronic protection against reverse polarity, reverse current at night high voltage disconnect and high temperature disconnect, lightning and transient surge protection.
